Spring showers bring ...

The Hostesses with the Mostesses!!: Mrs. Kathy, Mrs. Trish, Mrs. Harriett, Mrs. Pam, and my mom and Brian's mom

Mom and Peg

My Aunt Fran and Cousin Ashley gave me this beautiful moses basket and stand

My Aunt Patsy gave me this adorable outfit with sailboats on it

These are supposed to be the best little socks

Cute burp cloths with Mason's name on them (crazy fingers)!

Brian and I had such a great weekend in Chapin last weekend! On Saturday (also the first day of SPRING!!!), our Chapin and Marion friends threw us a beautiful shower and brunch. We are so thankful to have such wonderful friends!! Some traveled far to spend the morning with us and all had a billion things going on that weekend and we are so appreciative to everyone who hosted and attended! The hostesses gave Mason a beautiful sterling silver christening cup for his baptism. Such a special gift! And, he can also use it on top of his wedding cake one day to hold flowers, etc. Again, thank you to everyone who made this day extra special! I love you!

After the shower Brian and I went into Columbia to visit with Evelyn and Darren and meet their three week old little boy McClain. McClain is the CUTEST little man and I couldn't get enough of him!! Evelyn and Darren are already amazing parents and it was so great to see and catch up with them. McClain and Mason are going to be best buds and Clemson Tigers! :)

We now have five more weeks til our due date!! I think we have a few more little items to check off our list and then I hope to enjoy the last month relaxing with Brian and Belle. :) We had a doctors appointment yesterday and Mason is doing great and measuring right on schedule. According to the book, his tiny little fingernails have reached the tip of his fingers and his brain is continuing to develop at a "mind-boggling" pace!

32/33 weeks

Belle is preparing for Mason's arrival too. She is perfecting her hearing skills so she can tell mom and dad when Mason is crying!

32 weeks

We've had a busy couple of weeks! Since my last post, we have attended our final two educational classes - breastfeeding and a day long childbirth preparation class. They thankfully weren't as painful as I envisioned and I actually do feel a little less anxious about everything now that I know more about what to expect. We also traveled to Chattanooga, TN a few weekends ago with Lawton and Peg and met up with Mom, Dad, Trey and Katie for a fun-filled (and quick) trip. Trey and Katie were in town from Spokane, WA for Trey's interview with UTC's Physical Therapy school - and I'm so HAPPY to announce that he was accepted and they are moving to TN this summer!!! We are all really looking forward to having them within driving distance for a while!

We only have about 7 more weeks until we meet Mason! I received an additional ultrasound at my 30+ week appointment and was able to see our sweet boy again! :) He is still measuring great, but during the US we discovered that he was breech. However, at my 32+ week appointment yesterday the doctor was pretty confident that Mason has already turned. YAY! Of course, even if he hasn't, I've been told that I don't need to be concerned about his position until about week 37. We also learned on Saturday that 95% of the time all babies turn during those last few weeks.

As each day passes, I'm learning more and more that I need to ask for help to do a few things ... like painting my toe nails! Brian was the lucky one chosen for this task on Saturday night (and he did a great job!) so I could wear my open toe heels to Katie's 30th birthday party. I'm looking forward to hopefully getting a (much needed) pedicure this week.

I hope everyone is doing well and thank you all so much for all of your sweet comments!

Love you bunches!

Baby D has a name!!

We have finally decided on a name for Baby D! His name will be William Mason Donlan and he'll go by Mason. :)

Here is a little history on his name -

William - William is very special to us as it is a family name on both my mom and dad's side of the family. My mom's dad was William Hughes Steinmeyer and my dad's grandfather was William Nichols (he didn't have a middle name!).

Mason - Mason is a name we came across while thumbing through my mom's family bible the weekend we told our families we were pregnant, which now seems like forever ago ... I guess its been about seven months!

We are so excited to finally tell everyone Mason's name and hope you all love it too!

Love,
Lindsey
