Quick Update

We went to the doctor this morning and unfortunately don't have anything new to report, except that Mason seems to be pretty happy right where he is! We can't wait to share with y'all the news of his arrival, but should it not happen before Thursday we are scheduled to be induced next week. We would stay overnight at the hospital on Wednesday, May 5th and would be induced on Thursday, May 6th. I can't wait to hold our little man in my arms!!! ;) Thanks for all of your calls, emails and prayers!

Happy Anniversary and 39 Week Update!!!

Five years ago today I married my best friend ... and I thought nine months was a long time!!! :) Happy Anniversary to my amazing hubby, who I love with everything in me! Cheers to all the happiness, love and fun we'll share in the maaaaany years ahead! BRING ON THE BUBBLY (and sparkling cider for me)!!!!

We had our 39 week appointment yesterday and unfortunately I don't have any exciting news to share. My doctor continues to be pleased with my blood pressure, weight, measurements, hemoglobin, etc. I was still dilated at 1cm and was 50-60% effaced. Mason's heart rate was 150 and Dr. Lebel said that he is a very happy baby! :) My dad informed me yesterday that there will be a full moon on Wednesday 4/28 (the day before my due date) and a friend told me that the rain we are expected to get this weekend will also help him along. So, maybe he'll arrive before the 29th!!!! Thank you to everyone who has called to check-in! We promise to keep you posted!!! Love you!!!

38 week appointment update

I was looking EXTRA scary this morning so I decided to crop myself :)

We just got home from our 38 week appointment and I'm happy to report that things are well and progressing! I'm 1cm dilated and am 25% effaced.

We have a busy week next week with our 39 week appointment on Thursday (which is also Ashleigh's 30th birthday woop woop!) and our 5 year wedding anniversary on Friday!!!

37 Weeks

Brian and I've been keeping pretty busy these last few weeks! Since it is recommended for me to stay close to home (and to our hospital) from here on out, we stayed in Greenville for Easter weekend and just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather. My parents drove up on Sunday after church and met us for a tasty brunch at High Cotton and my mom spent the night and helped me with some gardening the following day, which was GREATLY appreciated! THANK YOU MOM!!! We also had our good buddy Meghan (from both Clemson and DC) stay with us for a couple of nights this week! We had such a great time visiting with her, I just wish we saw her more often. Meghan was so sweet to bring Mason his first bathing suit (the cutest board shorts ever) so we will definitely be making a trip this summer to visit her in Charleston and hit the beach! Hope she's ready for us! :)

We had our 37 week appointment on Thursday and everything continues to look great! My blood pressure is still good and I'm measuring on schedule. The doctors from my 36 and 37 week appointments also both believe that Mason is "head down" which continues to be awesome news. Next week we'll be able to determine if he has "dropped" and will have an exam to determine if we're any closer to meeting him. Mason seems to be doing a lot of stretching these days as I think we continue to feel his little foot (or knee??) pushing against my belly ... he has also had a few cases of the hiccups!

I've finally started washing Mason's sheets, towels, his tiny little outfits, etc. so that we are better prepared for his arrival. The nursery is a bit disorganized right now, but hopefully that won't be the case after this weekend. Brian and I are going to run a few errands tomorrow morning and then I'll go ahead and pack my bag for the hospital before the weekend comes to an end. I can't believe we are LESS THAN THREE WEEKS from our due date!!!!!! WOW! Its been fun to think that the next time we're able to see some of our family and friends that we'll be MOM and DAD!
